Tips to Have Fun and Stay Safe at a Bucs Game
If you’re a Bucs fan and often watch them play, the last thing you need is for an accident to get in the way of you enjoying the game. Football games are not too hazardous – for the fans at least – however you can still ensure you don’t have any mishaps by following these tips:
Take Care Tailgating
Tailgating is tons of fun, and there are plenty of spots close to the home of the Bucs, Raymond James Stadium, to enjoy a few drinks, some food, and the growing atmosphere. That being said, tailgating does hold some risks.Be sure to keep hydrated and dress appropriately – dehydration and sunstroke are both risks you run if you don’t. Pace the drinks and you’re certain to enjoy yourself more.
Be Mindful on the Roads
Game day means a great deal more traffic, so odds are there’s more of a chance you might get into a collision. This is especially the case if people are rushing and trying to park. See if you can book a parking spot before, or look into rideshare app prices. If you are driving make sure you don’t drink, leave in plenty of time so you’re not speeding to get there, and be aware of your surroundings at all times. Remember to keep an eye out for pedestrians who might walk out from between cars.
Always be Courteous
In the stands everyone expects a little lighthearted jabbing and joking, but be sure not to take it too far or get involved in any kind of altercation. If you feel threatened move away. You are of course encouraged to express and enjoy yourself, but just always remain respectful.
Keep Valuable Safe
Football games are full of people and busy crowds, so to be on the safe side you should always keep your valuables hidden, or just don’t bring them at all. You’re going to need your wallet, but not an expensive watch or jewelry. If you do decide to wear valuables, don’t advertise them and be sure conceal the amount of money you have if you’re using bills.
Have an Idea of Emergency Exits
When you get to your seat, have a quick scan around to see where the emergency exits are located. It’s always better to be prepared in case you need to use them.
